High Security Lock Rekeys

Before you go out and buy a new High Security Lock, it may be very useful for you to know that some high security locks cannot be rekeyed, some can, and some have requirements that you should take into consideration before purchasing from just any locksmith company. We’re are only going to be looking just a few of high security locks so that you can get an idea of what you should be looking at for when you do buy a high security lock.

Medeco High Security Locks

Medeco High Security Locks can only be rekeyed if you go to the locksmith that installed your lock. They have a control key that will allow them to rekey it. If you go to a different locksmith that didn’t install your lock, they cannot rekey it. If your locksmith that installed your lock is no longer in business then you will need to install a new lock.

Mul-T-Lock High Security Locks

Mul-T-Lock High Security Locks cannot be rekeyed. If you have lost key control you should definitely replace your locks. There are many benefits to having a lock that cannot be rekeyed, but if you tend to have ever changing employees – it may be a good idea to use a high security lock that can be rekeyed – which saves you much more money.

Schlage High Security Locks

Schlage High Security Locks can be rekeyed and do not require anything to do so. Probably a good idea to use a lock like this, since it doesn’t require anything to be rekeyed – especially if you do have a decent turnover in your business, or lose your keys often. Whatever your reason for needing a lock to be easily rekeyed – this lock may be a very good choice for you.
